Boas malta estou com problema no meu mysql no freebsd tenho alojado num dedicado ja tive tudo a funcionar. mas do nada deixou de dar o mysqlja fiz estes procedimentos varias vezes ja desistalei e voltei a istalar e nada nao sei que se passa. alguem pode me dar uma luz??
Start MySQL from the command line. Note that the aboverc.confline will automatically start MySQL when the machine boots. Note that the default location formy.confis/usr/local/etc/mysql/my.cnf.
service mysql-server start
Note that if/var/db/mysqlexists and is not empty,mysql-serverwill fail to start the first time. Backup or remove this directory if you need to. Seethisblog post to track down other errors when startingmysql-serverfor the first time.
Reset the password. Note that the initial password is stored in$HOME/.mysql_secret. For example, if you usemysql -u root -pthe initial password is stored in/root/.mysql_secret.
mysql -u root -p-e"ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';"
If upgrading from an earlier version, runmysql_upgrade. Note that the command below upgrades as the root user.

Install using packages.
Alternatively, install using ports.
Enable MySQL in rc.conf.
/etc/rc.conf partial listing
