The anime premiered with an English dub on Adult Swim's Toonami block in July 2016. Viz Media released the first season on home video in North America. The company's Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo pack shipped with six original video anime (OVA) episodes in April 2017. Each OVA episode features a completely original story written by the manga's original author ONE. Murata's manga series adapts ONE's original web manga of the same name. Murata's manga is currently running on Shueisha's free Tonari no Young Jump spinoff website. Shueisha released the 17th compiled book volume this month. The series has 14 million copies in print as of December. Viz Media is publishing the original manga series digitally on its Weekly Shonen Jump anthology, and it is also releasing the series in print.
